{Day Six}
Zazen brings us back to each moment. The moment is where our life takes place. If we miss the moment, we miss our life.
Zazen is to study the self.

Let me respectfully remind you,
life and death are of supreme importance.
Time swiftly passes by and opportunity is lost.
Each of us should strive to awaken.
Awaken! Take heed! Do not squander your life!

Wow, I haven't been able to journal lately. I think you have said everything I have wanted to! You are my hero!
Your journal is beautiful. What a nice thing to do to reinforce a new habit. I've been coming here and my meditation practice got disrupted last week do to watching the Olympics, but these posts have inspired me to just get to the cushion and sit and that's what I've done the last two nights - and I've thought of you and your lovely book. Today's quote is very motivating indeed - thanks!
