With gratitude we begin...
In anticipation of starting round {two} of the 21 day challenge, I've been contemplating what habit I'd like to work on and have finished my cover. As I mentioned during the last challenge, I have been quite moved lately by the life of a little guy named Alec. He is two years old and is dying from a brain tumor. He will probably be gone within a week. In this post, I worked with looking at what is right in the world, rather than what is wrong or unfair. So I have decided to capture what I am thankful for each day through photography and art over the next 21 days. I would like to get into a habit of counting my blessings. After all, each day I can be truly grateful for being alive! I know gratitude journals have probably been overdone by the likes of Oprah and others in the past several years, but can gratitude really ever be over done? So the journey begins....

What a wonderful start for the next challenge. And a beautiful tribute to little Alec. Your cover makes me want to open the door and explore what I know will be a beautiful and inspiring journal. I have my journal and can't wait to create along with you!
What a great idea! I did that once upon a time and found that the process of looking for things to be grateful for so I could write them down in my journal, was quite transforming. My whole outlook on life shifted, and yet you couldn't have convinced me of that when I first began. Enjoy the journey :)
Such a cool idea.
Thats just a great idea Kari!
My last theme was to see the positive things in the every day life, but this is fab ;o)
I've signed up too, and am so looking forward to a new round :o)
Enjoy the journey :o)
WOWZERS! Love your cover!!! Looks like something out of a magazine!!! Great idea!!! I actually have a friend who recently found out her 6 yr old daughter has a brain tumor as well. Very Very heartbreaking stuff. This grateful journal is perfect! Good luck with your challenge! Can't wait to get started either!
