Woohoo! I love September. It's my birthday and my sons birthday this month and best of all, it's fall!! I'm having fun putting little fall vingettes up around my house. This bouquet of gorgeous sunflowers and velvety pink cockscomb is from the farmer's market. I just love cockscomb. It's so unique and it can be dried and used throughout the fall. It retains its color. The lovely crow in front is by the talented Jennifer Conway. The ceramic leaf bowl my dear grandmother made and the cool fabric was 25 cents at an estate sale. Speaking of estate sales, since Saturday morning is when I go, I think it's fun to share on Saturday's post my treasures from the day.
Today this is all I bought and I paid $2. I knew it had a lot of potential and I had the perfect little project for this frame.
Love the details and the gorgeous dark brown velvet in perfect condition.
I gave it a coat of black spray paint.
Put some chicken wire on the back...
and viola! a Halloween inspiration board! I was working with the new Halloween foam stamps in the Martha Stewart line at Michael's the other night, so I decided they would grace my new board for now. So that's my little Saturday project. Hope you're having a great weekend!
