I did it!!!

I made it through the first day of my first craft fair/festival ever!!! I'm still standing, ok now I'm sitting and still have a smile on my face. Lessons learned from day one: a.) give yourself plenty of time to set up your table. Four hours was barely enough...believe it or not! b.) do not sell vintage buttons for 25 cents each. Someone will snatch them up and sell them in their booth! It was a really fun day and I got tons of great feedback from people. Here are a few horribly dark pictures. I promise more tomorrow. I'm off to bed and back to the bonanza in the morning. My table was next to The Junk in My Trunk. Such fun vintage buttons she has. I could have looked at them all day long. Thank you all for your bloggie love. I really felt your support today! Love having a cheering section. I appreciate it so very much:)

You're kidding about someone selling your magnets at their booth....right? That's terrible...and kind of sad really, how pathetic. Your booth totally rocked and I was SO SO jealous. I've got some major work to do on my display. I can't believe I am still awake...what's wrong with me. Oh wait, it's that blogging addiction we talked about. tee hee

Thanks for being a good booth mate!

Kari, your booth looks wonderful!! I can't wait to see it in person. I hope to be there close to 9am tomorrow. My sister-in-law and I are leaving around 8am to battle the traffic from Burnsville to Medina. Can't wait!!!

Kari!! Your booth looks amazing! Wow!!
I hope you are selling out of everything! (and I'm sure you are!)

Ok, and I have to say, if you were selling cute vintage buttons for .25 I would have snatched all up too, but I wouldn't have sold them in my booth there! (I'd have put them in my etsy store. LOL, just kidding!)
How much did she sell them for?

Hope the rest of the week goes just as wonderfully for you!!
Can't wait to see more photos!

  12. Congratulations on your first day! Do you have anything left to sell on day 2? Your table set up looks fabulous! Love it! I see it is an indoor event - for some reason I thought it would be outside. So much better this way as you don't have to worry about the weather and all! Good luck tomorrow...but I don't think you'll need it!

  23. Kari,
Your booth is "the bomb" as we say out here in the OC in CA! Wish I could see it in person. I hope you make oodles & poodles of money. Is it hard, however, to part with your lovingly collected and/or crafted items? Being a horder, it would be hard for me to let go!

  37. Too bad about the buttons being resold. I made that same mistake once selling homemade biscotti at a holiday craft sale. I priced them way too low and someone came and bought me out of my entire supply in the first five minutes. She didn't re-sell it though - I suspect she gave them as holiday gifts. And I did get to spend the rest of the craft fair enjoying other people's booths as that was all I had to watch in the one I was participating in. So it wasn't ALL bad.
