You are all so sweet!
A heartfelt thank you to all of you for such kind and supportive words on my latest venture....or should I say adventure! The book is proving to be a lot of fun.
Doll from Raggedy Old Annies
One little gem I came across that was just the right thing to hear at this time is Anna Quindlen's book Being Perfect.
"Each writer (or artist) brings to the table, if she will let herself, something that no one else in the history of time ever has. If she is giving readers what she thinks they want instead of what she is, she should stop typing. But if her books reflect her character, the authentic shape of her life and her mind, then she may well be giving readers a new and wonderful gift. Giving it to herself, too."

"It is never to late to be what you might have been."

ReplyDeleteKari , oh I love to see the places in people's hearts . You inspire in your work , but also in the words of your mouth -- When my son was struggling with an issue several years ago -- I said the same thing -- It is never to late to be what you might have been -- Today he is every Mother's dream -- Happy home -- serving God , loving family . Thank you for being such an uplifting part of this blog world -- At the age of 60 I am having so much fun -- creating and visiting with all of you -- your creativity and vision amaze me -- of course I have such a young spiritlol -- all my friends are in their 30's -- funny - I already had a business in the craft world many years ago -- a different day and time --'but if I say altered art -- they don't get it -- ah to each his own -- Write your book and then write another -- Words are very powerful as these quotes bear out . -- for they live long after we are gone -- I love visiting each day -- blessings Kathy
ReplyDeleteExcellent quote and it's so true!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!I would love to be one of the first to buy a copy.I published 4 visual aids for teachers (motivational stuff with drawings) from 1984 to 1994. I had a distributor that I got after attending a book sellers convention. It was a wonderful experience and I learned a lot. Your book will be much grander, (I only printed in black) but You have all it takes: #1: huge tatent #2: fun personality and the big one #3:a drive to do it. I know your book will be FABULOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're easy to be supportive of :)
