Ok, not quite feeling like spring here yet, even though it officially starts today. It's been a pretty nice all week...in the 40's. However, tonight we're supposed to get about 4 inches of snow! It's supposed to melt by Sunday. I hope so, I don't want the kids having to hunt for eggs under snow drifts. I have such an egg fetish this time of year. Love all that eggs symbolize.
Enjoy the Vernal Equinox! What signs of spring are you seeing in your neck of the woods?
I'm looking out the front window and the house across the street has 3 forsythia bushes that look like an explosion of yellow fireworks. We have some crocuses :)
ReplyDeleteHope the snow disappers in time for the Easter Egg hunt. Such fun for the children.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter.

Oh, would you believe that here in Jacksonville the early Spring flowers have finished? Still have some azaleas, camellias, & Carolina jasmine but the dogwoods are almost in full bloom now and the wild plum, redbuds, etc. have leafed out. Spirea (bridalwreath) is budding. Strange as it sounds, some oak trees are blooming while others are still dropping their brown leaves! Happy Easter to all! Jane
ReplyDeleteWe've got crocus up here! whoo hooo! The Osprey are back and last night we heard 'peepers' - subtle signs but I'll take it.
ReplyDeleteMany signs of spring. I put a few of them on my blog today, I'm so excited! I was wearing my flip-flops today, it was nice and warm. That's life here in East Texas.

In central Texas the native Mountain Laurel are blooming. They have beautiful glossy round leaves and are dark green year around. In the spring they have amazing clusters of purple flowers. By summer those flowers will make clusters of woody seed pods that hold beautiful brilliant red seeds. LaVerne in Texas
ReplyDeleteNice to see some signs of Spring. Like you, it is snowing and we are expecting up to 10 inches of it. It started later than anticipated so I am hoping that the weathermen will will be wrong this time.
ReplyDeleteI just finished posting the last pages of my 21 day journal. I've been following along with yours and Heather's.
Have a Happy Easter!
