These photos are some of my recent treasures. This time of year I'm just not sure what to do with all my stuff. I'm finding that having lots out in the cooler months, particularly at Halloween and Christmas gives a sort of comfort and warmth. I find that in these days of 90 degrees with a dew point in the 70's, I don't want to many things to clutter our home. I also am in the phase of cleaning house before I leave, so I'm especially aware of how much I have out right now. Some spring bits of this and that, summer of course, and even some autumn decor is starting to show itself. Yikes! Then this morning I saw this ad in the paper for an estate sale...

I love how this was written, so personal, so intriguing. Of course I plan to head over there tomorrow and take a peek inside this woman's life. It also made me think of what my own estate sale ad will look like some day. No, I'm not talking about my obituary, which will focus on family and what I spent my time here on earth doing, but my estate sale ad...what kind of stuff did I have. What would your estate sale ad sound like?
In housekeeping news of a different sort, the partner gitches in the Sweet and Sinister Swap seem to be all ironed out. The second blog is filling up quickly. Thanks for all the wonderful feedback. I'm glad you're enjoying the fun things I have planned. If you've paid and haven't seen your invite to join the blog, check your PayPal email address. I have several invites out there that haven't been accepted yet. If you need me to send your invite to a different email other than your PayPal let me know at artsy_mama@hotmail.com
Thanks!

I think my estate sale ad would say "This woman tried every craft on the planet, and bought all the tools and supplies to go with it!" :)

That's an interesting idea; I'll have to start thinking about what my own estate sale ad would say. I'm sure it would say something about an obsession for paper and books.
I would love to give you a run for your money at that estate sale, :)! My husband would have the paper say "This woman had a corner for every craft imaginable, couldn't possibly tell you what it was but please come buy the junk!" He calls me Fred(as in Sanford) at least once a day. Happy shopping and I can't wait to drool over what you find.
What gorgeous photos of fluff! I think the crafter would say when they walked into the door of my estate sale is "I hit the jackpot of craft goodness".
Can't wait to meet you at Ashland!
What an amazing ad-I can't wait to hear all about the sale! Have a great time in Ashland! xo-Mel
have a giveaway over on my blog.....garage sale bliss/torture. xoC
Geeesh--I think mine would say something about the ridiculous amounts of crafty type ingredients--a CRAFTER'S DREAM would be the title!! It's an interesting thing to think about.
That sounds like a fantastic sale--I know if I were closer, there would be no way I could resist hitting that one!
Smiles, Karen
ROFLOL Angela, my husband would call me Fred too!! He would be more than happy for me to have an estate sale today...
Now all the stuff listed in that estate sale Kari found would be awesome... we do not have any like that around my area... but i think i would come home with more... but the question would be... where do i put it??? I try to only get things i REALLY want now.. as there is nowhere to put anymore.
