Feeling sweet....

This post is going to make me look like I'm just laying around thinking about sweet treats in soft fluffy pink and blue pastel tones. Well.... really, what else is a girl supposed to do when the high is five degrees below zero!? Here are a few more of my daily art journal pages. Thanks for your sweet comments and encouragement on this new project. I appreciate it.

Chloe and I also made some sweet treats to indulge in during the deep freeze.
Finally, I have been pretty obsessed with inspiration boards/mood boards, whatever you may call them, for quite some time. I just love the visual manifestation of the inner working of the creative mind. For A Year of Color, the theme for January is blue and white. I just happened to have this blue and white board that I thought I would fill with some of my favorite eye candy in happy, wintery blues. It reminds me of both my words for 2009....color and blue. I think I will make one of these each month on the color theme that we're doing for A Year of Color blog. Blue also makes me think of a invigorating, clean, abeit cold, breath of fresh air!

I love your posts, but, like you, confess that the color blue this time of year makes me feel cold too... I'm getting a case of hives just thinking about creating something Blue and White for my contribution to the Year of Color for this month. When I was a young bride my first kitchen was painted a light blue, which, after a few years we painted a lovely warm creamy yellow called "popcorn". So I've been stumped, until I came upon a wonderful picture of blueberries, deep, rich, warm, dusty blueberries - and then inspiration hit me.

    These are calorie-free, right? ;-)
There's a legend about sweets that says if you break them in half all the calories fall out......
Should we give it a try?
    Yum!
