We had a nice, mellow Valentine's Day with the kids. We went to my parents house for a great meal last night which included chocolate and wine and homemade raspberry pie. Then we woke up this morning, the morning after. The flowers still looked gorgeous and put a smile on my face.
My parents took the kids for a bit and Joe and I had a wonderful breakfast together. Such a treat!
I found some fun estate sale treasures.
Love them all. I would say early to mid 60's, but they could be a bit later. The colors on all this vintage goodness are wonderful. Pam

Those little lady's are nifty from the late 50's. A great Woolworthy item, but I think some magazines from that time had how to's to make your own.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely treasures.
ReplyDeletemine was great! And those vintage butterflies are awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! how "vintage" I am. Your blog is so bright and cheerful and it's so nice to see children creating their own Valentine cards. I remember when we all did that.
My name is Bev and I am a Grandmother waiting to become a GG (great grandmother) in a couple of years. My grandson is getting married in June and they both want to have children (lucky me). I dropped in to tell you about Wool E. Woola, a picture book about a sweet BIG dog, that I wrote and illustrated. A friend put up the money and we set up a publishing company, just the 2 of us. Please check it out at www.moonbowpress.com If you like the book or the site, please tell your friends.
Thank you
Bev
pretty finds!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! You got some really cute things, and those napkins look like they would match my plates :)
ReplyDeleteYummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmie, and always so beautiful. I think you have so much fun with bright colors. Very 60's is right.

Raspberry pie sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThose little felt girls are from the early seventies. I still have the pattern from a bunch of them. They may have originally been made by a company, but the pattern was published in a magazine in early seventies. They were angels and there was also a nativity scene that went with them. I just sold several this past Christmas that I had made at that time. I can probably find the pattern somewhere and may even be able to figure out where I got it. I think I may have sent some to Ozarks Americana in Anchorage, AK for her to sell this past Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThose lovely ladies are made of spun cotton usually made in Japan and from the late 50's, early 60's.
