I found an amazing assortment of linens, doilies and other handmade treasures at an estate sale today. I think my favorite are the natural colored linen doilies above. Gorgeous!
I could not get over all the beautiful handsewn embroidery on these pieces! I am so drawn to the beautiful patterns and edging on all them. So much detail. I cannot even fathom the time put into these beautiful linens. I could not resist!
Then some fun vintage kitchen towels to top it all off!
Wow! Those embroidered linens are beautiful. I have a weakness to them, and have started a nice little collection. Good job picking those up! And, I love, love, love your year of color blog! Thank you so much!
Such wonderful things! I got some great crocheted pieces in St. Paul yesterday for a song. One of these days, I will run into you at an estate sale...I am sure.
WoWiee! I love your finds! What a treasure trove and your photos are wonderful! I loved coming to visit your blog today and finding so many lovely things to look at ~ Thanks! Blessings, k
I have a few of those vintage pieces too! My ex's mom and grandma did some and some from a neighbor who had passed away some years ago. The remind me of things my great grandma used to have.
I love old linens--I have to keep myself from buying and rescuing all of them. The fact that women took the time to make an everyday something beautiful touces me and makes me long for simpler days!
Wow Kari you found some truly beautiful vintage linens.
ReplyDeleteThey are one of my many weaknesses;)
I love those. They are beautiful. I have several handmade doilies that were made by my husband's grandmothers that I just adore. Nice find.

Sweet and lovely vintage linens. I can't wait for the warmer weather, so I can go to flea markets and open houses to see what treasures I can find.
