Looking ahead to spring...

What fantastic weather we're having here in Minnesota. It's near 60 today, the warmest day in 130 days...since mid-November! All the kids are out on the playgrounds with light sweatshirts on, splashing in the running snow melt and squishing their boots into the muddy earth. This is the kind of day that makes the long winter worthwhile. Collecting signs of the changing of the seasons is one of my favorite things to do. I used to work as a naturalist and was involved in Journey North, a worldwide study of migration and seasonal change. It's great to keep a journal during these transition times and record the changes that happen each day as the season unfolds before us. Glorious!Out on a walk with the kids we saw a robin belting out it's lovely tune and the soft buds on the magnolia tree. This weekend I worked on my eggs for the Easter egg garland swap.

Tweet! Tweet! Have a wonderful day!

Although we do not have the major seasonal changes in SF Bay Area, I too am looking forward to Spring! I am so glad that Daylight Savings Time is here. Thank you for the beautiful pictures of the birds.
