Check out this fun little article I'm in that was just published on the inside source. Marni was kind enough to ask me to particpate in the column, so I gave my two cents about my love for granny chic. Love the other bloggers in the article, Jessica and Eva.
What's your favorite crafting trend right now?

I like the trend of re-doing or "upcycling" clothing by adding ruffles and embellishment - I can buy a cheap shirt at a yard sale or thrift store and add a quick ruffle and make it look like an $$$ Anthropologie shirt for a fraction of the price!
Hi Kari, so great to share this lovely piece with you and Jessica!
Love your project and inspirations.
Hope you have a happy tursday!
Speaking of up-cycling... I love finding almost-trashed-treasures and turning them into wall-dolls. My newest mission is actually to buy no more art doo-dads and use, instead, found objects.
My latest favourite trend is the old furniture that gets repurposed. But I love seeing everyones crafts...I just dont have time lately!
Kari - Thanks for participating, and thanks to the link to Style Carrot too : )
Great post, Kari.I am loving upcycling jewelry with my girl.We seem to be doing little else. I just got a sewing machine and, when I have the time, I would love to fool around with clothing. Kat and I are also going a little crazy with flowers of various kinds, made with vintage material.
I can't seem to buy enough doilies and trim. I haven't done anything with them but make one banner. I just love them. I can't imagine ever making one!
i have never heard the term "Granny Chic"...think I live under a rock!

Do I have to pick just one? Re-purposing clothing. I took some old t-shirts & used the fabric to make shoe bags for travel, An old mat from a diaper bag into a wet-swimsuit bag (washable too!).
