What better way to spend a fall Saturday than hanging out with some giant pumpkins. We went to the rivertown of Stillwater for their harvest festival and pumpkin competition. It's hot here today, too hot if you ask me. Over 80 degrees in October in Minnesota just isn't right.
It was fun to see these giant beauties, though. The kids got a dry run with their halloween costumes. Local businesses were passing out candy to kids that dressed up.Chloe enjoyed watching the pumpkin carving.
Lowell loved watching the pumpkins tip the scales at over 1100 lbs!!! Looks like there may have been a new world record holder there at 1800 lbs. Wow!!
Then they were all to be hollowed out to take a trip down the St. Croix river later in the day. Yes, they are buoyant!!
