An alphabetical look at September...

The month of September is almost done...can you belive it!? I've sure had a fun month capturing each day with a letter theme. Late last month, MissB proposed a challenge of going through the entire alphabet with one letter per day and capturing it visually. The rules were: the photo had to be taken that very day and we couldn't skip a day. So here is how my favorite month looked alphabetically.....

Hope you had a great month!

hello autumn....

It was especially hard to say good-bye to summer this year. There have been so many fun memories that it seems summer lasted a very long time. But indeed we are now officially in autumn, my favorite season of all!
What better way to kick off the new season than a trip to a fabulous underground restaurant downtown Minneapolis called Hell's Kitchen. My sister was here for one more night and we met up with my cousins that live in town. It was a rain soaked night outside and the atmosphere inside was definitely right up my alley!

Check out the chandelier of cleavers. Yikes!!
Our company has made it home safe and sound and I have a pot roast in the oven, I think we're off to a good start. Looking forward to a wonderful fall season!

A (very exciting) week in the life...

I've been a little quiet around here lately, because I've been off having one of the best weeks! It went from birthday to birthday, Lowell's to mine. Hope was in town staying with us and then my sister came into town and is here a few more days. We have been busy having some very fun adventures! When Hope first arrived we celebrated Lowell's 7th birthday! We headed to Junk Bonanza (see last post) last Thursday. Then Hope and I headed to some more estate sales (I think we hit nine in all!) before hitting our next event.
We went to lunch at Yum!
Then off we were to the Creative Connection. We visited with Christine, Jenn, Jessi, Crystal and many others. It was so fun to see so many friends from blogland here in my home town! There were rows and rows of gorgeous one-of-a-kind ceations. One of my favorites was Hutch Studio. See more photos of the event on the Pioneer Woman blog.I enjoyed looking at Laurie Meseroll's work in person. Danielle Mueller took her class and we popped in to see what they were up to. She also has some great pictures of the event on her blog.Jana, Danielle, Melene, Hope and I all headed to Buca for dinner. The best Italian in town! Throughout her trip, Hope and I have been working on some fun projects together. On Saturday we met up with my sister at ScrapFest at the Mall of America. We made the mini books in the photo above with October Afternoon products. Love their stuff! Hope left on Sunday and we were all very sad to see her go. We had such a great time.Yesterday I was able to celebrate my birthday with my sister, which was really a treat!
What an amazing week this has been!
