Halloween weekend...

We started the weekend with a wonderful Halloween event at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. So cool to have it on such a big area and the weather and colors couldn't have been more perfect. What a fun way to celebrate the season!

smelling: the crisp fall air with a bit of dew in the morning

tasting: pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake...yum!

hearing: the kids reading together in bed

Pumpkins!

One of my favorite traditions, carving pumpkins! Nothing beats a crisp, sunny fall day with pumpkin ooze and seeds, drawing out and carving the face...and that amazing aroma. Hello fall!

Leaf play....

There's just something about playing in a pile of leaves. It's fun at any age! The kids have had a few chances in the last week to play in the leaves and boy was it fun.
