{21 Days}

I'm so excited to see that Rhonna Farrer is doing another 21 day challenge. She is on round 11 and I did her very first challenge way back in round one and it literally changed my art and creative life forever. Since the theory is you can start or break a habit in 21 days, how it works is you pick a habit you want to form or break and work with it for 21 days and see what happens. Rhonna provides quotes each day to keep you working towards your goal. Many people journal about their progress and some post it on their blog. It's fun to support and cheer one another on. Here are the participants for this round.It all started for me back in February of 2006 here I posted on her first prompt. My goal was to do meditation each day. The work I produced and the inner work that was done was incredible for me. All the pictures in this post are from that challenge. They really helped me work through some heavy stuff and defined my style. This was my post on the last day, day 21! I made so many wonderful blogging friends that I still keep in touch with. So I'm going to give it another go. Anyone want to play along with me? It's worth a try. I think my goal this time will be to simply journal each day. I haven't kept an art journal in awhile and would like to keep track of my inspiration and inner musings, so I thought this would be the perfect time to begin. You can start and play along with Rhonna anytime. All her prompts are listed here.

Today's quote:

"You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it." Charles Bruxton

  3. WOW! love that quote and the idea of the challenge. Your journal pages are very inspiring. I've seen some of those mag photos and did't rip them out-now I wish I had! I'd love to play along, but will need to make time as the quote says. I'll let you know if I follow through and link you up to my blog. Loving yours btw!

  4. Ahh, those were the days. Rhonna was the reason I got a blog in the first place, so I could join in on those challenges. I hadn't done any art for years, and suddenly the artistic urge was growing within me. That's when you and I met, too!

    Now I cannot imagine my life without this craft-blogging thing that I do!

    Thanks for the trip down memory lane :)

  5. Thank you for sharing. I decided 3 weeks ago to quit smoking. I decided that every 3 weeks I would add a good habit or break a bad habit.
    Today starts my 2nd round, no more soda!
    How synchronistic! And the quote is divine.

    Your blog is very nice and you are so talented! Your spot at the Junk Bonanza looked fantastic! That must have been so much fun!
