Follow ups...

This is a bit of a follow-up post about some things I've brought up recently. It's also post 499 with 500 coming very, very shortly, so be sure and come back soon and you're going to need your thinking caps on for this one. First off, remember that FUN day that I shared with you that Ulla and I had just a few weeks ago?! Well, the estate sale that we went to had part II today, so of course I had to check it out. It was the "attic and basement sale" so not quite as many treasures were to be found, but still some fun stuff. So what did I buy?I got about a dozen of these little fabric "pouches" anyone know what they may have been used for? The background fabric is a patchwork apron I bought for $1! Another post I wanted to follow up on is my warm and cozy post. After posting pictures of all kinds of warm and fuzzy knits, I was told to check out the window displays at Anthropologie. What a fabulous job those artists have! They definitely had the same snuggly vibe.

Of course I had to venture inside the store too!

Remember the paint-by-numbers that Ulla and I fell in love with? Well this was a whole wall. What a fun concept!See you very soon:)

Could the little pouches be coasters for stemware glasses? I saw something that looked like this once, so it is just a guess. I am a big fan of your blog. So many wonderful ideas. I shop in Minneapolis with friends whenever we can "get away". Not often, but love seeing the stores you mention.

How big are those fabric pouches? My grandmother used to to have something similar made out of felt that fit on the bottom of a wine glass as a coaster.

What a great post. So many lovely photos and great decorating ideas. What a great sale that was. So hard to work out what you wanted to buy.

P.S. I've seen something similar to the pouches you posted. They were cozies for boiled eggs.

Well I see someone already said cozies for hard boiled eggs. That was my suggestion. It seems you continue to find great bargains!

What fun your blog is! Beautiful photos and always something to inspire your readers! Your recent'snowy' post inspired me to talk my husband into painting our pumpkins white & making a "snowman" with them. Now we'll put the tiny painted pumpkins around for "snowballs" - very cute! The little pouches could be stemware coasters, as suggested, or possibly pouch/covers for pieces of china - depending on the size. Pixy arrived safely - lovely!

Those are wine glass coasters. I have a set from my grandmother.

regarding the pouches...could they be little covers that go over those small purse sized packs of kleenix???

If not - I think the wine glass coasters make sense.

The pouches are wine glass coasters, which I think is a very clever idea.
I have a set in white.

I think your little "pouches" are wine glass coasters like others have said, but the rooster on them makes me think they are Madeira, made in Spain. You might want to do a search on ebay for Madeira rooster- they can be valuable!
