You know what that means. I pack up Chloe in the car and we go on a little adventure to some estate sales. You never know what we may find! Here we are ready to go...popsicle in hand. I thought I'd share with you something that I recently came across. It's estatesales.net a web site for finding sales in your area. It looks like it's just starting out and didn't have many listings compared to our local paper, but it's a good start and hopefully more estate companies will add their info. There is also auctionzip.com for finding auctions. I personally don't go to auctions, but mainly because they don't take place at convenient times or places for me. They could be fun, though! I thought these resources may be helpful for you. I get asked all the time where I find the sales that I go to. I actually rely on the local paper, more specifically the online classifieds for the paper. Look to see if your newspaper is online and look up estate sales. There are a handful of sales each weekend of the year here in the twin cities and I usually make it to a few. I know, I'm spoiled! These paint by numbers pictures were my find of the day. I know they are trendy right now, but I couldn't resist the summery water scenes. Love them! Also wanted to share my end of week white pic for Sara's Shades of Inspiration this week.
Have a great weekend!!

ReplyDeleteI wish I lived in the US and could go to all those neat estate sales... Over here I'm lucky if I can find a single thrift store or flea market that isn't all "trendy" and charges outrageous prices for everything... :/ By the way, I put you on the blogroll for my own little craft blog (I'm just getting started) because I love popping in here and getting inspired!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing the websites! Hope you found some great treasures!
ReplyDeleteHappy treasure hunting!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun weekend all around. I could do with one of those fun popsicles, myself! :D
ReplyDeleteI just came across you from....well you know how you start at point A and end at point Z a few hours later? Love this blog world! I was smitten with your pictures and all of your favorite links. You are very generous with your time for us readers, so I thank you for that! And for the popsicle...ask my 6 year old her favorite food and she will say, "Popsicles". Love that. Have a lovely Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a yummy looking frozen treat! We all need inspiration! It is such fun to look for finds with our children! :) They can really appreciate the past (see a toy from our past perhaps, hehe) and learn the value of quality and $ :) Besides you are honing her own taste (not just in amazing popsicles! :)
