Hunting for white...

Thanks so much for all your business in my shop. As always, I am so blessed that you enjoy what I sell as much as I do:)

I got my hair cut today. I'm back to looking like my profile picture (to the left) again. Funny how I even tilted my head the same and everything. It was getting a bit long. So here's my summer look. I don't think I ever showed you the vintage glasses I gave to Joe for Father's Day. I was thrilled to find these, since he's into sailing. I think he thought they were pretty cool.
So this weeks Shades of Inspiration color over on the Sadie Olive blog is white. Yikes!! I picture those gorgeous clean homes with summer shells and whispy drapes. The only white things I have sparkle like snow and are my winter decor. So I've been hunting all week. I realized that I DO have a bowl of shells and other ocean treasures that is a nature sensory bowl for the kids to play with. But I knew I could do better. Then I spotted this gorgeous button card that's been sitting out waiting for just the right project. Now we're getting somewhere...
Millinery! I do have white millinery. Now I was finding my groove!
These ladies have always been a favorite of mine. Loved draping them in vintage white flowers.

I thought I'd turn to my inspiration journal, since that's what it's for, right? Inspiration.

Love these photos.

The hunt continued. My inspiration board class project features this lovely white embellishment.

Finally, these birdies have been a favorite of mine for awhile. It was fun to finally photograph them. This was such a great challenge for me. Since my house is a riot of colors, I enjoyed looking beyond my normal perspective to find some nice, clean white.

Maybe you should make it a yearly tradition, to pose that same way and show off your new do :)

  12. Kari,

love your new blog design! So cute! The Colors are great and I love the labels as the titles. However, your banner doesn't load when using Firefox. It does work for Internet Explorer, though.
