From my neck of the woods..

In an effort to keep everyone healthy and happy in the cold, grey north this time of year, things are pretty festive around here. How are you all doing? I thought I'd share some pages from my holiday journal. My decor this year is kind-of a retro woodland mix. Nothing fancy, just fun and whimsical for the kids...and adults:)

Finally went and got some perler beads after seeing all the fun things that Elsie has made with them in her holiday class. I made a cover for my New York album.

Hope all is well.

Love your journal! Simple and do-able, but lovely. Very inspiring to see :)

The sun's just come out in our neck of the woods. I hear we'll get snow in a few days, but you never know!

OMG! I just discovered your blog! LOVE IT. Such great eye candy. I'm going nuts:-) My mind can't process it all right now. I'll have to come back:-) ha.

Your trip to NYC looks fabulous. I am crazy about window displays and so happy to find your photos. What great inspiration. I haven't been to NYC in years, but most of my pics were of windows and my friends made so much fun of me. ha.

I'm a bit late with replying to this, but i love the elf on top of the tree... I have been drawn to them since i was very young... I have the small green elf like your white one on my tree from my childhood.. wish i had more, but one will have to suffice

I think he is like the one on your tree... based on the pic in your book... but mine is a deep green... we had red ones too, can't recall if i have that one or not... may have been on my mom's tree... but it looks like yours has a stripe on the sleeves... mine do not.. i would say mine is from the very early 60's.
