Inspired by Ali's word of the year, mine is "breathe" (and color), Emily's 52 weeks of questions and most of all Jeska's amazing Record the day blog, I have begun a fat and colorful notebook that is going to get even more plump and juicy and more colorful over the next 365 days. I am going to do a page each day in this art journal. I am very excited and have begun in earnest. Here are my first several pages. This was so theraputic and so much fun to but bits of this and that together to capture my day visually and in writing.
Can't wait to see this journal get big and full over the next year!
A Year of Color blog is going strong with it's first swap underway. Remember that to participate in my swaps this year, they will all go through A Year of Color blog. Come join us, we're having a ball!

I like the idea of your year in color also having a word theme to it... an entire year of ideas... i'm not sure i could come up with that much for one word...

Your blog is always full of irresistable eye candy. And I must say...I really do admire your journal. It's not JUST prettiness, it's also infused with your thoughts, your wishes, and the visual manifestations of them. Such a good way to create your life. : )
Your journal is bursting with color and creativity. Wonderful.
Oh, I love it! Your commitment to journaling every day is great. What an amazing journey and process. Very inspirational. happy day to you, kimla
Looks like you are off to a beautiful start!
Hi Kari,
It's me, Kathy. Thanks so much for your reply. I guess I thought if I was emailing someone who wasn't receiving my messages, the system would let me know---it would "bounce back." That never happened, so I assumed you got my emails. I'm relatively new at this, so I'm sure I did something wrong ; ). If it is a lot of trouble to include me, I will certainly understand. I can't imagine coordinating this many people in any endeavor! I just know there's probably more than a couple of people out there who would like to find Belgian chocolate in their surprise package : ). At any rate, I am really enjoying the blog---I find myself, at the moment, in a somewhat isolated place in my journey and it is such a delight to pop in and see what everyone is up to. If I'm not able to participate in this swap, I'll just be sure and get myself into the next one.
Thanks again & take care,
Kathy
I am the luckiest girl in all of swapland. I am looking forward to my first swap!
