There's no better way to ring in a beautiful, crisp first day of September than a day at the state fair. A late-summer highlight for us!
So much food....
So many fun rides....
baby animals...
heads carved in butter...
award winning crops....
and creative endeavors.

Wow...that is one wickedly huge slide!!! Looks like a great place to visit for the day... A good way to end summer.
That looks like such fun! I miss going to fairs - they don't seem to come around here as much as they did when I was a child.

i love the huge slide! sooo fun:) My favorite is the 4H display, it always reminds me of my mom!
I miss the Minnesota State Fair at the fairgrounds in St. Paul. When we lived there we used to go every year. I even entered some of my weaving. Haven't found a state fair to match it yet.
