A crafty day...

I had a super crafty day today and it's not even the weekend yet! Gearing up for Chloe turning three on the 14th I made this cake scrapbook album after seeing it here. Each layer opens up into an album. Wow, so fun and cute! I know I'll be making a lot more of these.
I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow, so I made a little brag book album. The crepe paper rosettes on both these projects came from Lilia over at Flea Market Studio.

Updated my big collage frame with pictures from our recent trip and new papers I got out in California. Hope you have a happy Springy weekend!

Fun projects. I love the pink on the album (I am a bit partial to pink...sheepish smile) and the album and collage are lovely. It's always great to get in a little extra craft time when you least expect to.
Happy Weekend,
Dy

What a great day of crafting!
I want you to know that you have turned me into an Estate sale freak. Went to 3 this weekend. Found some gaudy old pink pearls for $1, some old linens for 25 cents, and some beautiful watercolor prints by a local artist for a song. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh how fun! I love the cake book. I want to see the inside! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog - I usually pop over here regularly and I don't always comment but I do always look and admire, and think how wonderful it would be if all of us creative souls could live and shop and play near each other! How I wish I could have gone Cali flea marketing with you -- I am living vicariously through your photos! I love your blog and your projects - wonderful inspiration for me, too! Have a good week,
Ranjini

I love it when you get crafty...gorgeous projects, Kari! I am going to have to find that issue of Country Living...it looks like a must-read.

And speaking of must-reads, I have your book on my nightstand. I savor a bit of it every night before I go to sleep. It's just wonderful, Kari!!! ...such an inspiration! smiles....

That cake is soooo adorable! So bummed I wasn't able to make it up to your class. Unfortunately the logistics never worked out and then Carlos ended up getting sick.... :( Looks like a great time was had by all though!
