You're a doll....

Does anyone out there know a thing or two about dolls? These ladies recently came into my parents possession along with piles of delightful old dresses and outfits. We're trying to figure out their value. They're gorgeous, large (about 17") dolls from the 1950's in great condition. Love this Alice in Wonderland.
Feel free to email me at artsy_mama@hotmail.com
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Those are beautiful dolls and look to be in great shape. Sorry I dont know much at all about them. I have a few old dolls too but keep them in a box. Need to do something special with them!

The two on either side look like Madam Alexanders and those should have the name on the back of their necks. Check clothes for tag names too as clues. Then I would suggest a cruise through Ebay in the Madam A's of the 50's. Do the same for the one in the middle, check her neck and clothing.

My Aunt had the ballerina like this and now my Mom cares for her. I don't know its value, though, but, soo precious. Blessings, Amy.

Look on eBay for Valentine Ballerina dolls and American character Sweet Sue. There were also many unmarked Sweet Sue clones.

Look Here for ID as well--they will give you more info about marks for positive IDs.

The two on the outside look like they might be Betsy McCall dolls. My mom had one like them that she used as her Betsy McCall doll's mom. I'd hunt around a bit on Ebay and check their necks. Goodluck. They're lovely.
