chasing springtime...

It's been tricky this year to catch all my favorite early spring flowers before they disappear. Everything is blooming several weeks early with all the warm weather we've had. I didn't want to miss one of my favorite woodland spots to see the bloodroot in bloom. Chloe and I took the opportunity to romp through the woods and we were not disappointed. Enjoy the abundance!

isn't mother nature grand when she's showing off in all her glory???

Wow, bloodroot is beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen it before, not here in Massachusetts anyway. Thanks for sharing them!

Kari thank you for sharing. I do not recall seeing bloodroot before... very pretty and spring like. I used to have crocus, but they have dwindled... I had beautiful viginia bluebells, but they too dwindled away.
