Today we celebrated Chloe's 6th birthday. It was a party literally months in the making. I start thinking of Chloe's party in the cold days of winter and the bright cheery spring colors gets me right through the long months of January, February and March. So by April the party seems to take on a life of its own and this year we even had a combo theme of Littlest Pet Shop and Cupcake Bakery. The ideas were endless! Chloe wore this cute cupcake themed dress and we made the cake and decorated it ourselves. I hadn't used icing tips before and had some fun with them!
Chloe and I made these cupcake necklace party favors during this last week of her spring break. She was a happy girl to have the party date finally arrive! When the guests arrived they first added flowers and their name to their bakers hat. I got the idea for the flowers using cupcake liners from One Charming party. The girls loved them! I was happy to find this giant cupcake balloon. Flowers always add such cheery color.
We had a cupcake decorating bar with loads of colored sugar, sprinkles and jelly beans.
The girls made some very cute creations.
They each wore an apron with a felt cupcake and initial that we added.
We had a scavenger hunt where the girls found a bag with each of the letters CUPCAKES and put their goodies in their cupcake bag. They took the cupcakes home since we had the birthday cake to eat!
It was such a fun and memorable party!!
