The cozy and warm post...

Here's what it looks like outside my window today.
Snow, snow and more snow.

So my mind is fixated on being cozy and snug. Here are some of my warm and fuzzy flickr favorites. See these and more here. And I should really try and get a hold of this book. But, oh yea, I don't know how to knit:(Speaking of feeling cushy, look at this mail that came all the way from Natasha in Australia. I was in Donna's tree topper swap and Natasha was my partner. She sent the most amazing package of Christmas goodies all color coordinated in fantastic golds and bronze. Brilliant color combo!Look at how festive and gorgeous everything looks! That big, fluffy garland is magnificent. And the icing on the cake, here's the tree topper. Amazing work. Look at those beads..wow! Thanks, Natasha!

So now this is where I'm off to.
Photos above from the TOAST catalog. The name says it all.

Look at this adorable "knit" wreath and other homespun goodness I found on the dottie angel blog. Love it! Makes me think of this that I have from my grandmother. What could I do with it? Hmm..
Edit: Today (Wednesday) it looked like this outside as the sun came up after the snowstorm yesterday. Brr....... but gorgeous!Hope you're keeping snug and happy!

aaawwwww....really makes me miss living in the midwest this time of year. I grew up for the first 20 years of my life in Michigan. So those pictures bring back sooo many fun memories of playing in the snow (I've blanked those that involve driving in the snow....walking to the school bus stop in the snow....and warming the car in the driveway...)

Anyway great pictures! It's cold here in San Diego....I believe it is getting down to the 50's tonight....:)

  7. It is so strange to see such a lot of snow and to think the other side of the world to me is having cold days filled with hot chocolate, blankets and lots of snuggling! I must say, I don't miss it! But it does look all so inviting to be warm, wrapped up and snug at home! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures!!

It's a funny thing, being a naive Californian, I've never seen it snow. We are hoping for rain, and can't wait to put a log on the fire. It's nesting time now, but soon all the boxes of Christmas Decor will be out.
Love the goodies, and things, that you share on your blog. A favorite stop for me, to hop by to visit, when I'm sipping my tea.

Silver Bella inspired me to have An Old Fashioned Holiday. Every gift will be handmade.

I was also inspired to jump into blogland, if you'd like to leave a comment and visit at: http://artwhiper.typepad.com

    Off for tea. Cheers,

with 2 busy kiddos I just got back from Ross to try and find a fitting box for my Swaps and that was near torture..for some reason the twins where biting each other and the boy 5 says every 2 seconds are we done yet? ...funny I don't shop with them much...did he not know Mom only does this when she has to? Not the grocery shopping he goes with me but who is he today????Sorry I do go on. He's a Dear. It is hard being a boy with 3 girls around you and twin babies that takes MOM's attention. Poor boy.....gotta go give some love.
    Warmly,
