The sweetest, most memorable thing happened today. My little guy told me he loved me!!! He has very few words and has never put multiple words together, so this is HUGE!! And of course it felt wonderful:) I was standing in the kitchen and he hugged my knees, so I bent down to hug him and gave him a big squeeze and said, "I love you bean" and he said fairly clearly "I wuv you". The tears came, of course, and I hugged and kissed him to no end. He said it again. It's gestures like this that make all the worry and work of motherhood soooooo worth it!! He said it right after I snapped this adorable pic of him and his sister reading together. How sweet it is.....

Kari, I just read your blog outloud to Mark and not only did I get goosebumps, but we both cried! What a wonderful moment. You'll cherish that one forever!
Love it Kari!!! I'm thrilled for you. What's even better than hearing it once is knowing that you will hear it many more times in the future. What a good boy that Lowell is. :)
