In my thoughts...

Ribbon above by Kimla
Thank you to all of the folks that have been emailing me this evening to see if I'm ok. I do live in the twin cities and many folks were sweet enough to think of me when they saw the terrible bridge collapse that happened here today. I appreciate your kindness and your thoughts. I sit on the couch watching the news in shock. My heart goes out to those families involved in this terrible accident. I watch with optimism as they continue to pull out survivors. I keep them in my thoughts...

Hey Kari, gosh I was so glad to see your post, my first thought when I heard the news was of your family and friends, and hoping that everyone was safe. What a sad, sad thing to happen. I'm sure my thoughts, as well as a lot of other people around the country are focused on those poor people tonight. Take Care.

So glad to hear you and your family are safe. I don't watch the news so this is actually the first I've heard of this. I'm going to go call my brother right now...he and his family live in Brooklyn Park, MN!!!

Kari:
I just recently found and enjoy your blog. I, too, live in Minnesota. Happy to read you are safe after the events of yesterday. I have two sons in their twenties -- one lives in the Twin Cities (he was safe at work when the bridge collapsed). The other is home from the U. of St.Thomas for the Summer but, he was in Minneapolis yesterday to go to the Twins game with two of his roommates from school. They crossed the 35W bridge only 10 minutes before it collapsed. Today we are saying many prayers of thanks for the well-being of our sons and prayers for comfort, strength, and love to surround the victims and their families.

I was so shocked and horrified. And, relieved that none of my loved ones were involved. I too, got calls an emails. The randomness of this reminds me that I should cherish everyday that I have and never forget to let my family know how much I love them.

Take care,

I figured you were all consumed with it. Such a shocking tragedy. Thinking of all the people who will be touched by this tragedy is heartbreaking. I know your heart is burdened. Maybe some studio time would be good therapy.

Hi Kari, I can't believe the events that have been going on here in the Twin Cities. I'm so glad you and your family are okay. We are too. I really love the dress form and amazing embellishments - so gorgeous. I really want to find a dress form so that I can dress her up in such a pretty way. I can't wait to hopefully see you in about a month at Junk Bonanza. I'm hoping to take Friday off of work so that I can go - and then I'll head over to Buffalo afterward. I'm so excited.
