Nature....sugar coated

After yesterday's dumping of snow (which as since melted) today we woke up to nature in all of it's sugar coated glory. I ran out to one of my favorite places and captured the glittery stillness before the sun melted it all away.
As you can see, I do not have a macro lens, but the crystals were so large I was able to capture them with my regular point-and-shoot.
I actually sat and watched these crystals warm up and turn to water. It was magnificent!
I'm really excited to start Susannah Conway's Unravelling: exploring the senses course today. Anyone else taking it?

Wow, Kari! Those pics are amazing. We haven't had frost in our area yet, and the leaves are just starting to turn. I hope I can capture some of that same beauty here this fall.

Thanks so much for sharing.
