13 Days of Halloween: 9 {all about owls}

I'll admit, I've always been a fan of owls. I've never officially "collected" them, but I do like mixing them up with my Halloween decor. They certainly have an autumnal look to them. Especially this amazing owl scarecrow that was at the arboretum last year.I have a hard time walking away from a vintage handpainted owl (like this cookie jar) at an estate sale or retro inspired owls, like these below. I got this owl luminarie from Martha by Mail years ago. The adorable owl glitter pail is from Dept. 56. This owl graces our front door each autumn. It's a reproduction of an old Beistle design. Here is an old love birds print that I found at an estate sale awhile back.Martha Stewart always has some fun vintage inspired owls. This door mat is from the Grandinroad catalog. Elsie posted this amazing owl costume by Chelsea. Pottery Barn Kids has the cutest retro owl placemats for Halloween this year. If you're thinking of having an owl themed party, this fun owl craft can be found on the Family Fun web site.
Here is a tutorial fort another adorable owl craft.
Any other owl fans out there?

I love owls, and I think if I ever saw one in person, I'd pass out from joy, lol!

Love the owls--and I was at Michaels and picked up some felt to try my hand at one of the owls--they're so cute!

I think owls are awesome. We have some asking 'who?' out back. I have some Halloween owl decorations too.
