I just returned from a wonderful week "up north" at a cabin that we've rented for the past five years running with my parents and my sister and her family. We always have such a sweet time together! 
We took many boat rides across the lake to view the gorgeous loons and visit the bald eagles nest.... with babies!
The kids played in the sand and made many castles and moats.
A local antique store nearby is always full of colorful vintage goodies.
Chloe and her cousin Annika had such a great time together!
This year was highlighted with amazing food! 
S'mores each night, perfecting our brownie s'more concoction. Yum!
The kids participate in the fishing contest off the dock, catch and release. Always a good time!
Lots of free time to play and enjoy each others company.
A wonderful vacation, indeed!
I haven't shot with an SLR since the days of using only film and processing my own pictures in college. What fun this will bring and will certainly expand my creativity with my photography. Here are my first few pics playing around with it.
